Welcome! We are Jean Bjork McAloon and Timothy J. McAloon, North Carolina, and SpiceOLife is our personal kennel. We created this site to showcase our Golden Retrievers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which we actively show in several different AKC events.

Our first performance dog, a golden, SpiceOLife Cassandra, UD was first shown in obedience in 1991. Our second golden, Kanosak's Gold Nikolai, CDX was shown in obedience and conformation. From there we acquired other goldens who have excelled in performance events and conformation shows. I'm presently showing a golden, Karagold's SpiceOLife Triumphant in conformation and training her in obedience.

In the past five years we have worked with Golden Retriever rescue groups and have fostered and helped place over 50 goldens. 

We only breed when we are interested in keeping a puppy for ourselves to pursue our hobby. Puppies going to pet homes are required to be spayed and neutered.
